Course Content
The Advanced Powerboat Instructor Course ensures the potential APBI he has the experience, knowledge and competence to teach the Advanced and Intermediate courses. At the same time the endorsement ensures that you know exactly what to teach against all the subject areas of these courses.

Pre-course experience :
Considerable boating experience in a range of conditions, across a variety of boats in various locations, during the day and night
Ability to explain any aspect of the Advanced Course.
Experienced instructor who has delivered many Level 2 courses.
Pre-course Requirements
Be a RYA Powerboat Instructor
Have your RYA Advanced Powerboat Certificate
Pass the RYA/MCA Advanced Powerboat Certificate of Competence examination or RYA/MCA Yachtmaster coastel power Certificate of Competence examination or
RYA/MCA Yachtmaster offshore power Certificate of Competence examination
+ hold a valid commercial endorsement on one of these 3 Certificates of Competence
