Tender operating course

“Originally intended for operators responsible for ferrying passengers between Superyachts and the shore, this course is very useful for anyone operating a powerboat day or night with responsibility for carrying passengers.”

Designed in conjunction with the Professional Yachting Association (PYA) this course is intended to build upon a candidate’s basic powerboating knowledge and skills.

Course description:
This 2 day course is aimed to build on skills already learned on the RYA level 2 course. The course will run over two days and one evening.

Course content:
Safety & comfort for passengers
day / night navigation using electronics and traditional ways
people management ( embarking / disembarking )
local regulations
passenger safety and comfort
day and nighttime pilotage
understanding the hazards of ship to shore transport in the dark
operating with a crew member or short handed
emergency situations
close quarter handling

Duration
Two days of witch one evening/night.

17

Pre-course knowledge:

It is strongly recommended that candidates hold a :
